About The Event
Adopt Love Adopt Local was a one-day mega-adoption animal fair designed to help hundreds of our community’s homeless pets find their forever homes. It was set on the grounds of the Tucson Expo Center on Saturday, April 16th.

More than 30,000 pets enter local shelters each year, but sadly all may not have found a new home. Adopt Love Adopt Local, an initiative of the Pima Alliance for Animal Welfare (PAAW), aims to solve this issue by connecting adopters with a collaboration of local shelters and rescues to increase adoptions and awareness. Through research, education, and an annual, community-wide adoption event they intend for every displaced companion pet in our community, to have a happy, forever home.
Adopt Love Adopt Local is an activity organized by Pima Alliance for Animal Welfare, an initiative of the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona.
Special thanks to Barbara L. Brown and Kelly Huber of Community Foundation for Southern Arizona for thinking of us and having us at their second annual Adopt Love Adopt Local event! And another huge thanks to Team Awesoos (Jim Rundel, Katie & Aaron Raymer) as they continue to amp up our photo playground to make it as lively as ever!
Congratulations to all of the newly adopted animals and their loving families! We were delighted to create some special photo keepsake memories for all of you!
We love to cater to our guests with all this FREE stuff! Would you mind giving us a shout out to @awesoos or #awesoos if you share your photo or Awesoos experience on any of these social media outlets? Thanks a bunches!!!!
